Before & After

before-and-after
Sometimes too much of a good thing is not a very good thing, but I think in this case, importing into Lightroom and plugging in a few presets did some amazing things to an ordinary photograph. The image on the left is out of the camera, the right is processed.
This photo was taken during a senior portrait session last year in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

I met Stacey through a friend and we decided to hang out all day this past Saturday and do some fun shooting. Despite having never modeled before, Stacey was a natural in front of the camera and has an elegant beauty that makes shooting really easy and fun.

I figured it was about time, I’ve got one studio strobe and a few great modifiers and despite the incredibly bad experience I had with CAI Camera’s E-Bay Store resulting in me *only* having one studio strobe at my disposal (and me being out $80) I was able to figure out some amazing things with a single strobe and a semi-portable studio setup on location.

I’m hoping to soon be able to upgrade to AlienBees. I’ve heard nothing but wonderful things about them.
