Brianne’s Senior Portraits
Brianne and her mom called me up last week, wanting to get senior portraits done — and wanted them soon.
Fortunately I was able to fit them into my schedule last Saturday, and we spent about 3 1/2 hours exploring 3 different locations with mom, daughter, friend, dog and myself.
I had a blast. Brianne was quite fun to work with, and was open to just about anything. She even agreed to a “trash the dress” idea that I had, for a formal dress she had used last year (borrowing from the recent trends in wedding photography).
I don’t restrict my clients to “poses”, “sitting fees”, “outfit changes” nor do I charge extra for more than one location. My portrait package is a “one size fits all” deal, and is reasonable and realistic for those looking for something a little bit outside of the box (or studio). If you have a Senior and you are here in New Mexico, give me a call and we’ll set something up.

California Dreamin’
Usually this time of the year, the family and I pack up a vehicle and drive out to the central California Coast from New Mexico for 10-12 days of fun in the sun.
This year is going to be an unfortunate exception. With gas prices hitting an all time high, school schedules, work schedules and varying other factors, we’re going to have to sit back in our ’swamp cooled’ home in New Mexico and enjoy the photos from the last few years.
One of the greatest things about the central Coast (ie: San Luis Obispo, Cayucos, Morro Bay) is that when the majority of the United States is sweltering under massive heat waves, at the beach the average temperature is 75 degrees (f). Cool marine layers, the refreshing ocean fog and numerous other environmental factors makes this place a great ‘cool’ getaway.
I am originally from southern California (San Diego) so any opportunity to go visit my native state, is a wonderful adventure and yes, a little like going home.

Just a few “table top” shots.
Powered by my camera (of course), two flashes and white reflecting board.
Yum!
