I’ve been waiting to work with Mary Catey for about six months. This girl quite busy and with this kind of look and versatility it is easy to see why. Mary Catey can go from sweet and innocent to naughty vixen in the blink of an eye and has an incredible gift of expression with those piercing blue eyes.

For those technically inclined, this series was lit with 2 300ws strobes fired with 1 shoot thru and 1 reflective umbrella for just the right kind of contrast. I was able to get the white background on just those two lights.

When I got the call to do a fitness/workout photo shoot, I was not only excited, but a little bit intimidated as well (I’m not in “perfect” shape).

Once I got into the studio and met with the women, not only was I pleasantly surprised, I was really welcomed and felt very comfortable during the entire afternoon.

Valerie Compton (Voted Albuquerque’s “Best of the City” for Personal Trainers in 2009) was not only very down to earth, but very helpful as well, not only with explaining the techniques used and processes that have brought this studio the most success, but helping the women with their positioning and body work along the way.

Once I’ve run out of excuses, you’ll likely find me down there as well…

Definitely a must see, especially if you’re trying to get into shape for the summer. Bikini/Wedding season is just around the corner!

Working with Diana, a local model and actress has been a great experience. She is expressive, funny and very versatile with a number of different styles, looks and concepts.

Not only can she do a flawless impression of Oprah Winfrey (as Sophia in the Color Purple) “you told Harpo to beat me!!!” (it was really funny, maybe you just had to be there), but she has a bag chock full of wigs, props and accessories that just beg to be worked with.
