We've noticed that most "about us" pages are filled with superlatives, awards, degrees, religious backgrounds and accreditations that often have little to do with photography, or more importantly the photography experience that you’re looking for, and we’re not sure why. We sincerely hope that your interest with Photography by Solaria has more to do with photographic skill and professionalism than platitudes; so it is with tongue-in-cheek that we submit our bios:

Solaria
If Angela wrote novels, "Solaria" would be a perfect pseudonym. But alas, Angela is a photographer and the, "just call me Solaria" thing works only sometimes...
Solaria (Angela) is the driving force behind Photography by Solaria, works at all shooting events, handles all marketing and advertising, web development and design, image processing, gallery uploading, book design and ensures that you, the customer -- get everything you want and more.
Solaria (Angela) is a closet Star Trek Fan, has a software programming & applications education (nerd alert) and when not working can be seen watching either "27 Dresses" or "Memoirs of a Geisha" "Star Trek".
(Solaria does not have time to have her portrait taken and doesn't do the "self portrait" thing, but will try to work something out sometime before 2011.)

Dave Silverstein -
Dave is one of 2.8 million professional photographers in the United States named Dave. His fine art portrait photography and fashion work along with a strong dedication to specialty lighting distinguishes this Dave from the rest.
His favorite subjects to photograph are high-maintenence models and small hyperactive children. Dave is often mistaken at wedding events as "the caterer" despite carrying 80 pounds worth of professional photography gear and lighting equipment (all his own which should be noted). He is probably the only photographer’s assistant/second shooter known to mankind who is currently accepting resumes for his own assistant.
Dave is a Gemini and has been with Photography by Solaria for three years.

"Captain" Morgan Estill -
When not shooting with Photography by Solaria as a second shooter/assistant, Morgan enjoys hunting large game (or just playing with really big guns), line dancing and cavorting with small kittens and unicorns. Morgan can often be spotted cruising around various parts of New Mexico as a valued member of the growing film industry and often works very long hours for little pay -- a true artist.
Morgan is a vegetarian and a Pisces, enjoys long walks on the beach at sunset and is in a joyful long term relationship with his girlfriend of 22 years, despite being only 24 years old. He has been with Photography by Solaria for a year.
